The News is now official NBC has cancelled the Golden Globes ceremony. Here is the statement from the Hollywood Press association:

“We are all very disappointed that our traditional awards ceremony will not take place this year and that millions of viewers worldwide will be deprived of seeing many of their favorite stars …,” says Jorge Camara, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. “We take some comfort, however, in knowing that this year’s Golden Globe Award recipients will be announced on the date originally scheduled.”

The hit show House, starring Hugh Laurie is up for a Golden Globe this year for Best Television Series. It’s going against some strong competition: Big Love (HBO), Damages (FX Networks), Grey’s Anatomy (ABC), Mad Men (AMC), and The Tudors (Showtime). It’s going to be a very tight race. I was very surprised at the direction the show took this year. House interviewing the replacements for the staff either fired or quit. You would think they would run out of phantom sicknesses after 3 seasons. I especially love the relationship between House and Cuddy. Are they ever going to “get together” My bet is yes. I’m sure they will try that one on if/when the ratings begin to dip down. This is one of my favorite shows on right now and I highly recommend it to anyone with a pulse, you will not be let down!
